An Underground church named after the Catacombs in Rome. A place of serenity where week by week we tell others the great news that Jesus still forgives sin for those who seek him.

Experience the peace of this beautiful underground church. See the alter and baptism font and experience the silence of this unusual experience.

We stopped here in September 2016 as we were staying in the area. The church is small but can still hold a good number. We looked around briefly to see the setting - it's a very calm place and remains unspoilt, unlike other churches which have become very commercial.

Worth going to, the Minister came in whilst I was there and told me about the church and also took some photo's for me.

Beautifully presented underground church surprisingly open 24/7. I've seen cathedrals throughout the world but there was something special and serene about this place.

This is a smallish church built into one of the hills. It's a lovely little place, cool and peaceful. I liked the fact it was very local and quite 'hand made' - local timber to make the cross, recycled mining equipment and timber to make the alter etc. It's well worth a visit.

A really different place to visit in as much as a church is not usually a tourist destination but this one is worth a look. Our kids also found it interesting. It's not a place you would stay for hours but you'll kick yourself if you have the opportunity and don't go.

Worth a visit as very unique. They just ask for a donation to look around. Very friendly couple running the church when we were there and they showed us around their underground accommodation as well. Nice to know it really is in use!

There are three underground churches in Coober Pedy, this is one of them, just behind the Underground Motel.
