Such a vast array of different opals to see, some were cheap and some were very expensive, amazing what they have dug up over the years

Tanya gave the best and most hilarious tour I have ever been on! She is an absolute asset to the museum. Very engaging, gave us all the information with a lot of laughs too.

You can do the free Museum & Gallery self tour of this establishment which opened in 1985 to showcase Coober Pedy & Opals or add in the Mine tour which is 3 times a day, 10am, 2pm & 4pm. All for a reasonable price. The...More

Hello thank you for the question the only fee is for our mine tour adults $10 children $5. Family packages available. All other areas including museum are free
