Easy walk from the Desert Cave Hotel. Great information from the caretakers & how the property is looked after & cared for. People take on the job via word of mouth when travelling around or from when they have visited. Current caretakers cannot leave until...More

Worth a visit if you haven't seen a dugout, but not as impressive or interesting as Crocodile Harry's. If you have a guide Faye's story makes the trip worth it

A great experience and a fascinating history behind this underground house. The guide had the patience of a saint with the toddlers in the group. Also happy to have our dog resting in the yard waiting.

Loved the experience to visit Faye's, the guide was very informative and gave you a great description of what it was like years ago and details of her life and of others in the community. Definitely don't miss seeing it.

Great informative presentation of both the house and mine. Both great guides. Very interesting. Gave a very detailed presentation of both parts of the tour.

A fantastic look at the work of these pioneers in a harsh environment. Can’t believe what they achieved against all odds.

Whilst the house is worth a visit in its own right it is the presentation by the guides for both this and for Faye's mine that really brings the place to life and puts you into the middle of Coober Pedy in the late 20th...More

We visited here with Aaron from Noble Tours, he did a fantastic job of showing us around and telling us loads of information about Faye, and how she built the home. Such a fantastic place to visit.

We think it was about $15 to see both the house and mine. Whatever it was - it was well worth it and I'd say it was a highlight of our trip to Coober Peedy. And do both - you won't regret it! And consider staying at... More
