It was very interesting to learn about this dugout and it’s history, created by three percictent ladies who overcame adversity in harsh, difficult conditions. Thanks to Grant our tour guide who passionately brings the story of Faye and her two friends to life.

We think it was about $15 to see both the house and mine. Whatever it was - it was well worth it and I'd say it was a highlight of our trip to Coober Peedy. And do both - you won't regret it! And consider staying at Reevers campsite at the turnoff to William Creek. A gem of a place. Enjoy your visit.
