Wild Bike Tours offers travellers more than what’s in the brochure. There’s an experience that simply cannot be summed up in a picture or two. Yes, the scenery is jaw-dropping amazing! However, you can’t capture the fresh smell of eucalypt and peppermint trees after an overnight rainfall. Or the calm sea-breeze across your face as you ride along a 3km stretch of isolated beach. And you certainly cannot appreciate the scope of a 360° view of the entire south of Tasmania, whilst sitting atop 1,260 metres of volcanic mountain with barely a soul in sight!Wild Bike Tours will take you and your friends deep into the remote wilderness of southern Tasmania for a full day adventure ride. Or, if you’re short on time, an exhilarating ride down the face of Mount Wellington on our special Wellington to the Waterfront ride, which spends plenty of time off the road!Visit World Heritage listed wilderness, coastal plains, untouched beaches, mountain regions and watch out for all kinds of wildlife. See parts of Tasmania that you never knew existed, that most locals only know of through rumour and here-say. Feel the history of early pioneers and aboriginal heritage and learn about modern environmental management. From high value conservation areas to technical descents, the tours are graded on ability and fitness. From the easy tour for those new to mountain biking, to intermediate for those looking for a challenge, right through to the physical demands expected of the more advanced riders. All adventure rides include transport to and from the trails in the “Troopy”, an intimate ride that can’t help but break the ice.

Peter, Earl and Tim took our group of 7 on a tour to remember, starting at the pinnacle in the snow! We had an amazing time and the guides catered to our mixed experience levels brilliantly. I would highly recommend this tour, or any other...More

After booking a downhill mountain biking tour of Mt Wellington with another company who cancelled on us the day before we were due to ride (despite having paid in full already), we stumbled upon Wild Bike Tours. We are so glad we found this company,...More

The 2 of us had a fun and challenging ride at Bangor with Peter. This is the best way to see the beauty of some of Tasmania's secluded coastline and wilderness tracks. A real one off! Peter and the bikes were top class. Some cycling...More

What a great morning we had with Peter. Our initial idea was to ride from the summit of Mt Wellington down, however, the snow and 70 knot wind prevented that. Instead we started from a little further down along the road and Peter then joined...More

We did the 1/2 day Kunanyi adventure tour and had a great morning. 2 of our group of 4 were absolute beginners and Peter and James were very accommodating of our skills and confidence levels. Great experience for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors.

What an awesome ride. Started from pinnacle Mt Wellington on a 3.5 hour descent. What better way to see the sights, than blasting down a mountain at warp speed? What sets this tour apart from others that I've been on is that you're not lectured...More

Me a novice single-track biker and my girlfriend a total beginner had a blast taking the Kunanyi adventure tour, from the top of Mt. Wellinton, through the North-South track and onto Cascade brewery land. Peter was really friendly and knowledgeable. I 100% recommend Wild Bike...More

Gisli, I must say I wasn't sure about Gudrun at first, being a complete novice. Obviously the Icelandic spirit in strong. You both pushed yourselves through your anxieties and came out stronger and more confident. Thanks for reminding me why I love showing people our...More

Great day had with Peter as our guide. Picked up in Hobart and driven to a private property ( Bangor Farm). Magiificent Tasmanian Autumn day where we were able to spend about 4 hours riding on some challenging and remote tracks to view some fantastic...More

Les, the pleasure was all mine. Thanks for allowing me to trial the reverse route, which I believe is the better way to ride. Having you and Sarah along for your wedding anniversary made the day even more special. Hopefully, I will see you again...More

What a great morning we had. The weather was perfect and the trails were just right too. Being the first time taking a tour on the Meehan Range, I was very appreciative of your good humour when we took a wrong turn! Still, we got...More
