As a boy when this site was weeds as tall as a man. I helped out as rail and transport enthusiasts began to clear vegetation and lay track. Now decades later this is a world class museum. I am grateful that so much of the...More

Entry fee very reasonable and most helpful and informative staff. Excellent and varied range of transport (rail, bus and tram). Run by volunteers and display has all been restored by volunteers. Can highly recommend.

Great way to spend a couple of hours. The exhibits are well presented and have a detailed explanation of each. The staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of interesting Loco's, Tram and other vehicles to look at.

A place for transport enthusiasts. Old buses and trains take you back to times long gone. A great place for a day trip with family.

The comprehensive collection of trains, trams, buses and carriages is a sight to behold. Lovingly restored and displayed around a genuine old train station just a few kilometres from the CBD. The highlights for me were the double decker tram and the enormous steam engines....More

A great way to spend a few hours in Hobart. The entry fee of $10 is great value for what they have done at the museum.
