Runnymede is a great display of the history of Hobart. The museum is beautifully displayed and the staff friendly. Great location to visit if you want a real snapshot of Hobart's past.

Wasn't open on Friday 10th August 2018 despite this site and sign on gate saying it was. Don't have time or inclination to go back.

It was an afternoon well spent. We thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour of the house. Volunteer Ian did a wonderful job in telling the stories and history of the house, explaining some of the ingenious designs of the well preserved artefacts. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely time on a guided tour of Runnymede. So interesting to see how people lived 100 years ago. Well worth the visit

We really enjoyed our tour of this beautiful home. The detail of the furnishings and decoration made it like stepping back in time. Dress display was bonus.

A home with much history including links to whaling days. Helpful guides provide an excellent background to how homes were decorated (such as the introduction of wallpaper) in colonial times.
