A delightful sandstone building which houses the politicians of the state. You can go into the public gallery when parliament is sitting and watch them in action. Tours of the building are also available on some days

We were staying in a hotel directly opposite this building. Although it clearly possesses historical significance, it isn’t particularly impressive in itself, with a very derivative colonial style about it.

This is the political center of Tasmania. Although full of history, the building itself is not particularly remarkable. Unfortunately we did not have the chance to go inside.

This is one of the oldest municipal buildings in Hobart and one of the most important from the Van Diemans Land days - a great view from the harbour and well worth a look
