Take the time to seek out this gem of a museum located in a working Defence Base. A great selection of local military history, artifacts and stories. Knowledgeable and helpful volunteers ready to assist.

This one is excellent and worth the visit.Make sure you go to the Tuesday 11am tour of the grounds. Informative guides and knowledgable volunteers. A Must See on your Hobart trip.

A bit of a walk (uphill) from the city but as your walk higher up the hill don't forget to look back at the views. The barracks are free to wonder through and there are some lovely old buildings and statues/memorials scattered throughout the property....More
