I've been going here my whole life. I love it so much! It feels like getting back to nature, without going too far from home.

We took our dog and started at Turntable Top. The paths were very easy to navigate and they just go and on. Great views and very well maintained foot paths. There were mountain bike trials too. We took a picnic lunch and had it at...More

I think the You Yangs is a really popular park for four main reasons: Visitors are allowed to take their dogs (on leash) throughout; even the track meant to be hard is pretty easy; there are some of the best mountain biking tracks closest to...More

This place is gorgeous. About an hours drive from Melbourne, this it offers a good hike (but fairly strenuous, lots of steps) up the series of granite ridges that rise to 319m (Flinders Peak). We enjoyed exploring the rocks and parked ourselves on some of...More

We wanted to explore a bit and too a drive to You Yangs. It is very dry at the moment as reflected in the dry grass. The region is a lot drier than the Yarra Valley and Dandenongs, but has a beauty of its own....More

We had a wonderful day sighting Koala’s and Wallaby’s. Michael from walk about tours took us to this site. The two ladies that met us had presighted the animals and located them.

Amazing single track that covers all abilities. From the flat, fast sweeping corners of the Kurrajong plantation to the rocky ball breaking and sometimes frightening descents (and climbs) of the stockyards. Parking is free in both locations and track 14 joins the two parks together....More
