I booked Escape Discovery based on the great reviews I read and I'm happy to report that they met our expectations and more! Daryl was our amazing guide on the Great Ocean Road tour and he was full of interesting stories, from how Australia developed to Australian politics to backstories of all the places we visited. He was also very... More

Our guide, Stacey says her teacher once told her she talks too much. But this makes her a perfectly hilarious tour guide! Full of great stories and enthusiasm. I did the reverse Great Ocean Road tour available in this summer and it was awesome. We started at the Apostles and worked our way back to Melbourne via the Great Ocean... More

We did the reverse Great Ocean Road tour and it was fantastic. We started at the 12 Apostles and worked our way back to Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road. This helped us avoid the big crowds that were doing the road first from Melbourne. We left about 7:30 am and were back at the hotel around 8:00 pm. Our... More

This was a great trip - very scenic and beautiful! From beaches, rainforest, to countryside. My tour guide was super friendly and also played as a photographer. This was an all-day trip (approx. 7AM - 10PM), yet it was a relaxing one. DO bring a rain jacket, camera, and sandals (you will be on beaches). I have been on scenic... More

I was so worried that I won't be able to book the Great Ocean Road trip for the summer special because it was so last minute. I was so glad that I was able to book the trip with them, and it was just the best. Since the trips is always in a small number (maximum 15 people), rest assured... More

Me and my friend had the best time on this trip. Our guide Stacey was amazing - funny and full of knowledge. I would recommend this company highly. We took another trip with a different tour company to Phillip Island and it was quite bad. I wished we had both tours booked with Stacey.

We did the Great Ocean Road Tour yesterday with Paul (the owner) as our guide. This is a long day - no way around it if you want to see the 12 Apostles, but Paul did many stops along the way. Our 1st stop was for tea. The weather was iffy so Paul set us up under cover and made... More

We took multiple tours during our two week stay in Australia and this one was by far the best! Paul, our guide and the owner of the company, went above and beyond to give us a great day (plus we lucked out with perfect weather). I often felt rushed on a lot of the other tours we took, trying to... More

was picked up from our hotel and greeted in the early hours by an incredibly friendly guy named Paul, throughout the trip he was very talkative and very factual in many of the sights we passed and visited. Provided some very Australian snacks for the stop off, including Aussie coffee/tea, ANZAC biscuits, Vegemite, Tim-Tams etc. at this time and throughout... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
