This is my 2nd time touring with Michelle and the 4th time I've booked friends through Melb by Bike. You can NEVER stop learning about this gorgeous city and Michelle's passion for her town is 2nd to none. Informative, Fun, Entertaining and a great work out. The only way to learn about Melbourne is to trek it by bicycle. Highly... More

an excellent experience! Michelle is a very good and lovely tour guide! She's got an eye for her "followers" and talks about Melbourne from the heart. We all fell in love with Melbourne after that bike ride! ;-)

Had an absolute blast on this tour. Michelle was lovely and delivered just the right amount of information to the group. If we were interested she would expand and answer our questions on requested topics. The bike ride catered to the groups abilities and was tailored to the groups interests on the day. A great insight into local knowledge of... More

Michelle went way beyond what I expected from the tour. She showed us inner and outer skirts of Melbourne with so much info. What we saw was probably 3x as much in half the time if we did it by foot. The food was fantastic and coffee OMG, what an experience. Well done Michelle, will certainly tell any friends who... More

Michelle, one of the most philanthropic persons I've ever met, personalises the tour-experience according to your wishes and needs. She always gives you time to take as many photos as necessary and takes pictures herself which she forwards to you afterwards. She offers as much information as desired and gives additional advice for further activities or trips in or around... More

After a short briefing on how to ride safely in a group, Michelle, our guide, showed us around the central business district (CBD) of Melbourne, never ceasing to point out interesting facts about locations, people and history. We got to see many of the hidden places (restaurants, art gallery, shops) one would easily overlook or not find at all. After... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
