I always like Nova, cause they show the movies that are alternative, not easy to find, and really good ones. I like its location and everything, except one thing, which is the mice around. And the cinema looks dirty and not looked after. Such a...More

In its heyday cinema, Nova was plush, BUT it has become uncared for and tired looking. I feel disappointed in the appearance of the cinema and feel disgusted by the unhygienic presence of mice during a session. It only makes me wonder how unsanitary the...More

Cinema is very handy - nice bar area. Small scale viewing with non mainstream movies. Plenty of places nearby to enjoy some food

We go here a lot. Cinema Nova is a rabbit warren with purple carpets, purple walls, pink walls, yellow plastic couches, hidden stairways and small sized cinemas hidden all around and it’s awesome. Yes it’s tired garish and wonderful it always has the best films...More

Very comfortable compact cinemas with a collection of movies that differ from the big cinemas. Surrounded by many top places to eat.

I've been here several times and it's always been great. They have a big selection of films to choose from and it's easy to get to on a #1 or #6 tram from the cbd. Buy your ticket downstairs first.Brunetti's restaurant is very close for...More

This cinema is a bit of a rabbit warren. The selection of films is excellent and extensive, with prices particularly cheap on a Monday. There can be long queues at the box office, particularly during school holidays. A better option is booking on line. The...More

Great cinemas with an intimate feel, playing a cool mix of movies. Best when you can buy your tickets online so you don't have to queue at the box office (especially when you can get allocated seating over Friday - Sunday). Very easy system to...More

If you want real parmesan, cut from the block, grated
over your pasta with a twist of style, this is the
place. Until recently, this neighbourhood was home to
the notorious ‘Carlton Crew,’ a pseudo mafia who
started their day with a local espresso. They are
gone, but the espresso still runs strong in this
Little Italy which has something for everyone.
