Thanks for the feedback @99summer. It can get extremely busy during school holidays, which is why we are opening at 8:00am until the end of January. Hope to have you back soon. Kid regards, Zoos Victoria

Very easy to follow trails without missing animals and love the activities along the way for kids. Great idea having the playground as well.

This is a great way to spend a day with children, the butterfly enclosure is a must do. You can buy lunch but we took a picnic. Make sure you wear sunscreen and glasses and take water

I had a membership for 3 zoos and Melbourne Zoo can surely be rated as the best amongst the 3. My kids loved every moment spent here. Key highlights are the butterfly house, elephants and the tigers. Also loved the lemur island.

Visited zoo with my 13 year old son. It was free for children and whilst busy easy it was easy to get around. It was a hot day but plenty of shelter . We enjoyed the afternoon

No I do not think so. I can't remember any area for touching animals. However the Melbourne Aquarium has a feely pool with star fish, sponges and shells that can be touched.
