Enjoyed a nice stroll away from the shops and tourists of CBD here. Nice to see aJFK memorial too... guess heroes inspire people anywhere around the world. A pretty conservatory with tropical flowers inside that’s a must visit. There’s a lane of mature trees that...More

This is a lovely spot. Beautiful, tranquil gardens close to the city, but so green and relaxing. Visit Captain Cook's house, and the excellent cafe

A wonderful resource to have such a well cared for and maintained public park. Utilized by many but not at all crowded. The age and size of the trees is breathtaking.

The gardens are absolutely stunning and serine. One should visit these gardens when in Melbourne. You could just sit there and enjoy the day and let the world pass.

I like this park. Nice to do yoga and have a nice run in the morning. Gets busy at lunchtime when office workers all come out to the park for lunch.

Visited during a hot sunny day and there was plenty of much needed shade. Enjoyed looking at the Tudor Village and Pavilion Cafe. Recommend also visiting the nearby Old Treasury Building.

Do you mean a small gas portable bbq? If so, I would think that would be ok, except if it was a Total Fire Ban day.
