It is still a great place to kill a day and amusement parks always pack magic. I only threw up 4 times there.

Okay, I'm from Sydney so I have an expectation that Luna Park, Melbourne, will be something similar to Luna Park, Sydney. Certainly the big face is iconic and it's worthwhile taking a tram down to St Kilda to get some good pics, but I was really disappointed at how small the place was and how kiddie orientated all the rides... We planned to visit only because it's iconic. I already know that this will not be as superb as universal studios . However, they do have thar beautiful carousel that's still running. That is a real beauty. It's good for children below 7 years but I see many teenagers having fun there too, so, drop by and decide for yourself.

Free entry and really close to St Kildas beach. Rides are expensive you could spend a couple of hours with children going on the rides.

There are a lot of rides which probably kids will find a lot of fun. It's not a big park. Entrance is free while you only pay for the rides. Overall kids should find it a lot of fun.

There are lots of rides. Bumper car, roller coaster (it wasn't functioning when we were there in Novemver 2016), ghost rides, viking & lots more. Lots of rides for children & adults. There are eateries as well. The tickets are quite pricy. Tickets can be bought from the ticket counter itself. There are tickets for just 1 ride or for... More

I'm not a thrill seeker so we went for a look! It was around Halloween so all the employees were dressed up which was quite novel. The rides all seemed in good condition and the kids and adults alike were having loads of fun. There is also snacks and drinks for sale and a gift shop.

What's not to love about visiting this St Kilda landmark. It has all the usual rides for young and old. Ducks, ball throwing, donuts and candy floss. Great day out for kids! My 6 friends and I (in our 20's/30's) went for a fun day out. Some of us paid the $50 for all access pass and you can pay... More

Staying in St. Kilda

Neighbourhood Profile
St. Kilda
St. Kilda is an iconic beachside suburb and one of the most culturally and economically diverse of Melbourne’s neighbourhoods. It is a traditional haven for musicians, artists and writers, drawn to the European ambience and fresh ocean breezes. At night, it can have an edgier side, but by day, it features a relaxed vibe – the market stalls, boutiques and outdoor bars display St. Kilda’s easygoing attitude. Ocean winds blow from Port Phillip Bay and waves lap onto its long and mostly deserted beaches. Rides whir at the world’s oldest operational Luna Park. On a lazy weekend morning, bikers cruise along Acland Street, showing off their motorcycles. But the late morning crowds are too busy at brunch to notice. St. Kilda is a perfect place to relax after a night out with friends.
