Definitely worth the detour if that way but ensure of opening times. The history of when and why this became a Principality is really interesting and you can even get your passport stamped. Glad we done it and got pictures of the Prince.

Fascinating visit to Hutt River Principality. In 1970, Leonard Casely & his family seceded from Australia & became their own micronation .... lots of legal arguments ensued, which continue to this day, especially with the tax office .... They are their own Royal Family ......More
