The Bibbulmun Track stretches for almost 1000 kilometres from Kalamunda in the Perth Hills to Albany on the south coast. It winds through some of the most beautiful natural areas of the State’s south west and is easily accessible, passing through seven rural communities and popular tourist spots such as Mundaring Weir, Gloucester Tree and the Tree Top Walk. The Track was designed for use by people with varying fitness levels. With numerous access points it can be walked as part of a relaxing day in the bush, overnight camping adventure or an eight to ten week end-to-end hike. Campsites with shelters are a comfortable day’s walk apart, while towns along the way provide a wide accommodation for those who prefer a comfy bed.

We've great respect for those who have trekked the entire track. We've merely walked minor sections of the Bibbulmun... and have been fascinated by the diversity of flora and fauna. I'd intended to review the Walpole Inlet Walk, but having just reviewed another section, the Sandy Beach Walk Trail, TA won't permit me to do so in the Walpole-Nornalup environment(!)... More

Hiked 200+ km. Walpole to Albany section along the track. Revisiting after doing end to end in 2009. Was a wonderful & amazing stroll walking this section again. Nature, Wilderness & Landscapes filling your soul with gypsy wonder & charm.

Where do I begin? So I did overnight walks for 3 amazing days and I promised myself I'd come back again and do the whole thing! Well, I started my walk from Kalamunda, took the bus from Elizabeth Quay station and the 45min ride was pretty smooth. It was past noon time and I managed to arrive at Hewetts Hill... More

Great for day walks or overnight stays. Sleeping huts every 15 or so KM's and some amazing scenery to get there. You have to carry everything you need so it keeps things simple. Unbelievable how quickly, when walking and relaxing, how quickly you release the everyday stresses. The track is really well kept and signed and the huts, though just... More

A really lovely experience for my first bibbulmun walk. I joined the Bibbulmun track foundation and they provided helpful advice, which gave me confidence about our trek. There web site is fantastic. Maps essential. Walked together with 8 other women as part of a girlie long weekend. We all thoroughly enjoyed the trip. We did not want to sleep on... More

This is a well maintained and beautiful walking track that will suit all types of travellers and adventurers. There are day hikes that are recommended in various Western Australian tourism/parks sites so that people can decide what part of the Track they wish to hike on and what huts and water tanks are available. The Track is 1000km long so... More

Great walk, well maintained and signed. The huts are well spaced and great for resting. Water tanks were all filled due to recent rain but busier sections might ru out in summer months

The Bibbulmun track stretches 1000km from Perth (Kalamunda) to Albany, and can be enjoyed as an end-to-end walk, multi-day hikes, or day walks. There are huts about 15km apart, but these only provide shelter. I've done many day walks (several of them multiple times) along the track between Albany and Denmark. There are many stunning walks in this area, most... More

An outstanding hike an hours drive from Perth . Excellent terrain and amazing views on top of Mt Cooke. An excellent day trip or overnighter! The camp site and hut at Mt Cooke are well looked after and quite new. Check DEPAW for latest news on controlled burns.

This was a two night, three day hike, which meant we double hutted each day. Starting from Brookton Hyw the first day was quite an easy walk with few hills. The second day included Mt Cooke the highest peak of the Darling ranges at close to 600 metres. There are two other peaks that are climbed before ascending Mt Cooke.... More
