My son took me and my 2year old grand daughter here the other weekend. What a wonderful place. The structures, waterways and plantings are truly lovely. A great place for a family picnic or there is a lovely wee café on site. Very friendly staff.

Beautiful gardens with some amazing views. Large and vast gardens set on different levels, very peaceful and tranquil settings. Read the history of the place and it almost comes to life. This is not an hours attraction but an all day experience. Sample the food...More

An interesting park that is easy to walk round. There are lovely trees, a water lily pond, a war memorial fountain cascade and the largest pergola I have ever seen. I would like to go back in the spring and see the tulips.

I am not sure that a regular bus goes to it, but there are day tours to the park which are run by various tour companies. I have only just seen your query, so I am sorry not to have replied earlier. I just don't use this... More
