This place is about 35 kilometres from Broome on the Broome Highway and the best place to see some of rare parrots in Australia. Having visited all the major cities and towns in Australia I have never that many parrots in one place including the talking cockatoos, galahs and major Mitchel. John the owner is a down to earth person.... More

Ok so it's a little smidge over 12 miles from Broome town centre but a lovely way to spend a couple of hours. We arrived at the bird park and the first thing that struck me was how natural the car park setting was. As with all things in Broome it was just so relaxed, we arrived at the park... More

Our trip was cancelled due to the weather so we decided to drive up to the park. Well signed and good parking. We were welcomed by the owner, obviously proud of his park and lovely with it. At the moment there is no cafe but toilets and great ice creams! Some beautiful birds all well cared for but the star... More

The bird park is a bit of a hike out of town but well worth it. The layout is easy to negotiate and the range of birds is great. They offered us complimentary umbrellas as it was quite hot that day. The staff are friendly and well informed and keep the park looking neat and tidy. Overall a great place... More

A large selection of birds to see here. Could definitely combine a trip here with the crocodile park as they are only down the road from one another.

Although it was wet season, and it had been raining heavily just before we stopped in for a visit..... It was lovely seeing the various birds and have a chat with a few of them.... The mozzies were bad and the owner could not have been more apologetic as he was waiting on the neighbour replenishing his mozzie repellent...... Clean... More

It was interesting to see the different variety of birds on display. I was just dissapointed that there was not interaction with any of the birds as all were in cages. However, entry fee is cheap at $15.00 and it was a good way to spend the afternoon.

Highly recommend. Beautiful well looked after birds. Well set out in tropical shady surrounds and clean cages. Fantastic variety of colourful and entertaining birds. Educational and relaxing to walk around and a credit to the owner and staff. A great place to visit for all ages. As residents of Broome we love visiting the bird park, taking visitors to see...
