Close to the CBD., the memorial has a great view of the city and the Swan River. I have lived here since 1990 and never tire of the view from here. The park that surrounds the memorial is kept in wonderful condition. It is a great spot to watch the fireworks on Australia Day (January 26)

Although this memorial sits within the park, it actually merits a visit of its own as it is a very moving place. The names of all those lost in the Great War, WW2 and other conflicts are recorded for posterity - we owe them so much.

This is a nice war memorial, set on a high ridge in Kings Park, but what makes it the most visited spot in Western Australia is the stunning view you get of the city of Perth and the Swan and Canning river basin, it's one of the worlds best city views and, if enjoyed against one of Perth's 300 clear... Take your kids (well even if you still have some pleasant youthful brain cells it will do) and be amazed at the whispering wall. Sit one end speak really softly and your partner will hear at the other end. And it is free.

This is a most beautiful location set upon Mt Eliza in Kings Park, Perth. Set aside a day to explore the park as well, take a picnic or visit the cafe or restuarant. The Memorial itself has a panoramic overlooking the city, the Darling Ranges and the beautiful Swan River. The designers of that monument could not have picked a... More

Kings Park area and especially the War Memorial there, is a very special part of Perth. It is such a peaceful neat, clean memorial in the beautiful park area. There is delightful views over the Perth city skyline from Mount Eliza.
