The tour and learning experience with Chris? was very informative and even fun in spots. The displays were interesting and the cafe scones were excellent. I will treasure my souvenirs as a reminder of a great day out in Perth.

The Perth Mint tour provides a great insight into the discovery of gold in Western Australia and the construction of the Perth Mint. Brendan, our guide, gave an enthusiastic and informative tour answering questions with ease. The live gold pour is a must-see! This tour is family friendly, great for groups or solo, and has some interactive parts. The Mint... More

Have you ever seen someone make gold coins or bars? the Perth Mint is a historic site to visit as it made gold currency and still does. The tour costs about $20 and takes about 1.5 hours. It consists of a walking tour with guide talking about the history of the mint and what it did then and now. The... More

The Perth mint is a very interesting place to visit. It has a long history. The mint shop is fabulous. It has exquisite jewels and other collector items available. Very popular with tourists.

A tour of the Royal Mint is a must for anyone visiting Perth. The guided tour is both informative and interesting and provides you with the early history of Perth in the gold rush era. You also observe at close hand the making of a gold bullion bar!

Whilst we did not do the tour (not enough time on this visit) the mint is well worth a stop off just to do some window shopping. Staff were pleasant and informative and the various rooms full of quality goods.

Somehow we can link between the WA Maritime Museum, Fremantle Prison and this attraction. We can see the largest and most valuable gold coin in the world here.

The tour commentary was very interesting and the displays were excellent. It was fun to find out what your weight in gold was worth and the melting and pouring of an ingot of gold was fascinating. It is easy to access by the CAT free bus service.
