Twelve of the 18 bells in this tower came from London's St.-Martin-in-the-Fields church in Trafalgar Square as a Bicentenary gift to the people of Western Australia in 1988. Originally cast in the 13th century and recast in the 16th and 18th centuries, they were rung at the homecoming of James Cook after his voyage of discovery in 1771, after the Battle of El Alamein in 1942 and at the coronation of every British monach since George II in 1727.

A wonderful iconic tourist spot to visit, the views are fabulous from up there. We enjoyed our tour of the Tower which included a short talk from Howard on the history of the bells, and how they are rung, very interesting. At the end of the talk we were able to then chime the bells, even the young ones could... More

My mum and i stopped here as we were killing some time before our flight home. It was awesome. We saw them ring the bells and learn all about the tower. Well worth the stop.

The design of the architecture is very interesting and no doubt it is the icon of Perth. The bells in the tower rang at a certain interval and the sound was attractive. You can clearly see how the bells are rang from the glass. The view from the top of the tower is very beautiful. You can almost see the... More

This is part of the foreshore seen, interesting structure but as an atttraction in its own right, not very good. It is a good photo opportunity and the bells are surprising

Built by Sir Richard Court as his legacy but not as high and mighty as he would have liked. Stroll through the sourounding gardens.

Good place to visit, lucky to visit on a Sunday and see the bell ringers in action. Beautiful modern construction.

The Bell tower is fairly interesting and has a fascinating history behind the bell. It is in the beautifully presented and newly developed Elizabeth Quay downtown harbour area of the city.

An excellent tour of the Bell tower by our guide Volende. It was great to have the opportunity of actually ringing the bells and finding out just how difficult it can be.

Went to bell tower with kids and kids entry was free during school holidays so only paid for an adult, it was spectacular view on level 6 and we thoroughly enjoying 10:30 am session with Yolanda as she was through with her presentation and helped my kids with bell ringing session too
