The building and gardens have been maintained well, it’s very beautiful and gothic on the outside but modern on the inside. I’m not religious but while my partner was in hospital (RPH across the street) we spent what time we could sitting on the grass...More

Thank you for visiting the Cathedral and also for your positive review. The Cathedral has a close albeit informal relationship with RPH in that many people facing physical difficulties for themselves or their loved ones take time to pray or just take "time out" in...More

What struck me most about this Catholic church is the welcoming atmosphere. Wealthy people arriving by car, but also the homeless, immigrants, the poor are all considered God's children and warmly welcome. Didn't know there were so many Catholics in Perth, about one fourth of...More

It was easy to get to St. Mary's Cathedral using the free (red) CAT bus service. The beautiful building stands on a hill close to the hospital and I am sure it will give many patients a feeling of faith, hope and the inner feeling...More

Attended a funeral for a friend here and the service was very warm and loving. It was a great send off , the building is beautiful and very well maintained - not as old as some places but it does feel grandeur inside. I Would...More

The Cathedral is located on a hill near the centre of Perth City. It’s a little disappointing that they put so much modern in the revamp .... it looks out of place with the beautiful old world charm that the historical building provided. It’s easy...More

Thank you for visiting the Cathedral and taking the time to review it. The ‘modern’ parts of the Cathedral do indeed draw comment fortunately mostly positive. It is certainly worth visiting if only to contrast the different styles in a Cathedral built over 3 centuries....More

This cathedral is amidst a fair bit of business and hospital buildings but stands out for its beautiful architecture and a sense of calm. They have recently completed some renovations and this makes the place even better from a new plus old combination.More

The church is masterfully renovated, blending the new elements of the church with the facades and structures of the old. The interior, in lieu of the refurbishment is bright and spacious, very welcoming.
