I love this place. It's got a great feel with changing exhibits and lovely open space with a cafe that looks over a Japanese garden. Bright and airy- one of my favourite places to visit In Porirua area.

We visited to do a lesson in the classroom and I highly recommend this to other teachers. Very hands on and pitched perfectly to the age of the children. We didn't tour the rest of Pataka so cannot comment on that.

We stopped by for lunch & decided to have a look at the art exhibitions - it blew me away! Geoge Nuku's "bottled ocean 2116" took me by surprise, such stunning work, made completely by recycled soda bottles. Bob Jahnke's "ATA: a third reflection" was...More

This Art & History museum was short yet sweet. The building also houses the local library and a cafe. Handy for a rainy day but don't go out of your way to visit here
