If you are a Lord of the Rings fan, Rivendell is filmed here! Great place to see.

Amazing place to visit if you are a fan of The Lord of the Rings. The setting for filming the scenes of Rivendell complete with markers explaining the spots that were used. Beautiful scenery that takes you right back to the movies.
Most tourists will make the 45 minute trek out to Kaitoke Regional Park for Rivendell, and perhaps come away disappointed at how little of the film magic remains.
