Had an impromptu drive to this bay through the village of Clevedon and found it delightful.A little slice of Olde world Kiwi charm with a few original batches still remaining. Nice clean well kept beach and crystal waters.

We stopped off here on our way back to Auckland...what a gem of a beach !! There was a little friendly café bar right next to the lifeguard station and car park. Gorgeous setting and out of the way !

You get out of Auckland into the peace of Kawakawa Bay. A quiet area with a corner shop for snacks. Did a bit of fishing in this are, but unfortunately the fish we were pulling in they were tiny and had to return them.

Kawakawa has a little beach side community in which hasn't seen the hustle most little villagers have. It has a park and toilets across from the shop. A good place to stop If you have children or just when using the coast as a by...More
