Knowing that it's not the operator's fault, we couldn't help but be disappointed about seeing not one whale or dolphin in 4 1/2 hours. As I'm leaving tomorrow, our voucher for another try left me frustrated. All of that said, the boat is attractive and clean and the crew is professional. I do you believe they really tried but this... More

By the time we were out in the Hauraki Gulf it was pretty choppy but the Captain kept our spirits up with a great commentary. We ended up seeing a large pod of dolphins feeding and then a whale. We were able to watch the whale for over an hour and while the crew were respectful of their space we... More

Good trip & good weather. I have never seen so many dolphins, especially baby dolphins! Unlucky, we did not see any whales in this trip, but it's enough for me and my family. If you had never seen wild dolphins and whales, you should better choose this wonderful safari

This is simply stunning, so much so, that I did this trip 2 days in a row. The crew are brilliant and very knowledge, the captain is super funny with years of experience. Seeing dolphins in their natural home is the only way to go. The trip is great along the Hauraki gulf, viewing the islands and Auckland City is... More

An amazing 4,5 hour cruise, which takes you to the Hauraki gulf in search of dolphins and whales. We saw 3 groups of over 200 dolphins and even some penguins! Unfortunately no whales, best time for that is between April & September :)

We just got back from the whale and dolphin watching cruise. The staff was great. They were polite and attentive. We saw many dolphins and two whales. Very exciting. The captain got a little preachy though. Several references to how had people are and how we are killing nature by the millions. Are how we are polluting the earth. While... More

Overall I enjoyed the cruise. We travelled about 75 mins out of the Auckland Harbour before we met a pod of 100 dolphins. They swam up to the boat, and had their babies with them! Super fast swimmers, they we soon joined, as we motored further out to sea, by another 500 dolphins and then more! The horizon was covered... More

Very much enjoyed the boat trip to see the wildlife at the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park. Unfortunately no whales, but lots of common dolphin and diving birds. Great narration from the captain and marine biologists who were happy to share their knowledge.

Team are helpful, knowledgable and above all else committed to providing a world class experience, or you get to go again (they guarantee you will see whales or dolphins). The fact that they also give back to the DOC to ensure what they do is sustainable and Eco friendly is also great! Highly recommend this trip.
