We got lucky .. very lucky. Calm seas, warm weather and little wind. We saw about 16 whales all up close and personal, a hammer head shark, and a pod of several hundred dolphins. Looked after very well by the crew and the skipper. You can buy a copy of photos crew take for NZ$20 off the boat. Only annoying... More

Crew was very friendly to my little gal and exchanged a few facutal pointers on whales and dophins with her. My little gal was pretty impressed by their knowledge on the marine creatures and liked the cruise.

Highly recommended! The trip was excellent. We saw several whales and dozens of dolphins. Seeing the dolphins alone is already well worth the trip. Wonderful to know that they also help protecting the wildlife.

We didn't know what to expect from our whale watching cruise but it turned out wonderful. The staff is very friendly, the boat is comfortable and we saw lots of dolphins and whales close up plus a shark and a school of fish. I highly recommend this excursion.

We had a wonderful time on this trip, saw loads of Dolphins and five whales. We were really surprised at how close they came to the boat. The crew were all very welcoming and commentary was entertaining and informative. It is always a gamble when going on trips of this nature as you can never predict what you are going... More

The sea was calm, the wind light, the sun warm, visibility forever! We set ourselves up in the bridge with our captain gracious and talkative -- not only explaining to the entire boat by on the PA system what was happening but also answering all our personal questions in between moments. We first sighted birds swooping and diving ahead, and... More

We saw so many dolphins and several brydes whales too which was magical. The skipper and crew were friendly and knowledgeable. Would have liked more complimentary facilities for a journey of this length such as water/tea/coffee or afternoon tea. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would do it again!

What an amazing experience!!! Yesterday I got to enjoy the whale and dolphin safari tour in the beautiful Hauraki Gulf. It was incredible and a real lifetime experience. In adition to blue penguins and a large pod of common dolphins we were very lucky and got to see bryde whales in their natural environment. It was absolutely overwhelming when one... More

No Dolphin or Whale Sighting for the whole 4:30 hrs. Terrible experience. Shame you guys have no full refund (if now show) policy in place. No ones going to go back to that bumpy ride after a disappointment.

Hi Sumit, Thank you for your review. I see you went out on Safari on Saturday 26th November when unfortunately the sea conditions were much rougher than was forecast. Unfortunately rough seas do make it a lot harder for us to spot the wildlife. I checked out the sightings data the crew reported for this trip and we did actually... More

Having had two weather-related cancellations, I was really happy to be able to get out on the trip on the last available day of my holiday. Unfortunately, the sea swell was more considerable than had been forecast, so we only saw a few whales from a distance and the dolphins stayed in the calmer deep condidtions. However, it was a...
