We kayaked from Narrow Neck beach, past the lighthouse near Rangitoto to McKenzie Bay. After a quick meal, we hiked up to the top, where Nic provided some great info about the geography and history of the surrounding area. We hiked down as the sun was setting and returned across the channel in the dark. Very fun! Nic and Adam... More

Had been wanting to do the afternoon/night trip for a while and finally managed to this month. Great setup and caters to a wide range of experience. While the weather initially meant we didn't see much of a sunset after our hike up Rangitoto nothing was rushed and after a bit of a wait it cleared up for a great... More

This trip was great. The island was awesome and the kayaking was a great experience. Between the hike to the top and the kayak rides there and back, I felt like I got some good exercise while exploring a cool new place. The horizon was fairly covered by clouds, but the sunset was still beautiful. Everyone on the trip was... More

Awsome kayaking to Rangitoto Island. Had a lovely BBQ meal cooked up by the guides. Very tasty. Then a nice walk up to the summit to watch the sun go down over Auckland City. On the way back there was a nice view of the city lights. The guides were very friendly and helpful.

Setting off from the boat ramp on St Heliers beach - all instruction and equipment provided - we paddled to Browns Island - paused on the beach for tea & muffins - then walked to the Trig point at the highest part of the Island, lovely views - the kayak back was more challenging into-wind but very good. No reservations... More

Beautiful trip to Browns Island. Stopped there for refreshments before a leisurely climb to the top. Awesome views! Our guide, Logan, was fantastic. Cool, calm and very knowledgable about the area. Well recommended.

Good fun experience with the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful harbour. Gear was in good condition, guide was excellent - engaging, comforting and knowledgeable about where we were going and the history. Very much appreciated the consideration of making the return leg easier than the first leg as we experienced a choppy sea and windy conditions getting there. Would recommend... More

I did the sunset Rangitoto kayak tour and it was well worth the money. The guide was helpful and friendly, the food provided was delicious and at the exact moments we needed the energy and the walk to the top was entertaining and full of surprises. The kayak back at night was unlike anything I had experienced before. The amount... More

We did a full day Rangitoto Island Kayak Tour. Nic was a wonderful guide, we paddle across to Rangitoto where Nic had Muffins and a drink set out for us, we then had a beautiful climb to the top with Nic giving information the entire trip. We phoned to book kayaks for the Te Ara Moana kayak trail as advertised on the website. The woman who answered the phone was adamant that they did not do this tour and did not rent sea kayaks.
