Overall: It was an interesting one time visit but not worth going again. Positives: A lot of choices for food and coffee. Negatives: Parking is horrible. Neutrals: Looks like a plethera of international foods.

I enjoyed a beautiful morning walking along the main street through this section of Auckland. There were numerous shops I stopped in - art galleries, the Tesla test drive area, coffee shops, grocery stores, wine shops, clothing, shoes, etc. It's just a great place to...More

We had an over night stay in Auckland enrolee from Paihia to Rotorua. It has lots of eateries. Pleasant evening walk. Close to Harbour bridge and 10 minutes drive from CBD.

Ponsonby is a great place to go if you are looking for small shops, great restaurants and great bars (also amazing coffee). The place itself is not so big, but it has everything you need right there without the hustle and bustle of the city....More

I was impressed by the relaxed pace of the commercial area. Very fashionable shops and great places to stop for a bite or to protect against the rainy weather.

Try Dizengof in Ponsonby road (think that is correct spelling). Very good selection, be prepared for it to be busy but have a look upstairs as it often has available seating. Delicious food, reasonable prices.
