A separate review for the Monument, Cornwall Park is lovely, One Tree Hill has an amazing history, very well presented on the plaques as you circle the Monument ,great views of the outlying suburbs ,industrial areas to get a feel for the greater Auckland sprawl

We enjoyed a lovely evening walk on our last night in Aukland. We should have done this walk on our first night as the view of the surrounding area was so good. We would have had a better idea of the lay of the land...More

Super cool place, full of sheeps around and a beautiful sightseeing over the city! It´s reachable by public transportation as well.

Great view of the city, in a beautiful city park populated with sheep roaming around, great big trees, and general serenity. Note that it's about a ten minute walk, up a fairly steep grade at points, to walk up to the top of the hill....More

We went on 21 Dec 2018. There is a carpark near to One tree hill. After which the walk up is about 10 to 15mins. Managed to catch a rainbow as well. Nearby there is the Oak shopping mall with supermarket

Yes there are suburban bus routes from the city that pass by , but no specific return buses . Depending on which side you start the walk will vary from 10- 15! Mins without photo stops :)
