This was the first place I visited after arriving in Auckland. It is a lovely place full of greenery all around. Perfect place for picnics with family, walking or running, cycling. We drove uptill the summit where there is an obelisk. This is the perfect place to get a splendid view of the city. You can see the sky tower,... More

It is a great place to come to. The park has a lot to offer, you can stroll through, enjoy big old trees, see lots of sheep and rabbits. On top, right at the obelisk you have a great view of the city and surrounding area. It is the best free thing to do in Auckland. It is like walking... More

This is a good monument inside of the great public Cornwall Park in Aukland. But we came for one reason only: we think "One Tree Hill" is one of U2's best songs. It is a beautiful and hopeful piece, a memoriam to friends lost and friends who waged battle with their words, songs, and poetry. There is a lengthy, informative... More

One tree hill and its surrounding park ( Cornwall Park) are an Auckland gem. We use it frequently for fitness walking and visit the cafe for a reward! the restaurant is a great Mums birthday or business lunch spot too. I love seeing lots of people out walking and running on the weekends and make a point of visiting in... More

On the summit of One Tree Hill stands an obelisk from where you can get the most spectacular panoramic views of Auckland, in all directions. It can get quite windy up there! It's a rural setting and often the slopes are peppered with sheep. Great spot for photography, particularly at sunset.

It is a lovely place. Good for family time, picnic, walking and commune with nature. There are even sheep along side the road. I had a good time.

If you are new to Auckland, getting up to the obelisk is a great idea if you want to orient yourself. It is great to go up at dusk to watch the sun go down over the Waitakere Ranges, but keep an eye on the time as the gates to the park close at different times of the year and... More

Lovely walk surrounded by sheep up One Tree Hill. It was a very windy day, and I'd recommend bringing a warm jacket. That said, the walk up was brisk and refreshing and the views from the top well worth it. Would be great if they stopped cars going all the way up.....
