A great walking experience to reach the top. Great views everywhere. Love to go back again. Have to try the bistro next time as heard a lot about it. It was closed this time as it was going through a renovation I believe.

This was our favourite Sunday Morning Picnic Spot. Young Kids can run around, couples can stroll around and the views are beautiful. In Summer, when the Flowers and Trees are in Bloom, this is a superb area to have a picnic. There is a Excellent...More

Great place to visit - beautiful large green park about 20 minute drive from CBD. Lots of sheep walking around (stop and say hello). It's unfortunate someone cut down the one tree though :(

It was quite a long and steep(at certain section of the path) path(there is a shorter path actually) but it was worth it when you reach the peak. Take time and Soak in the fresh air and 360 degree view of the surroundings. It was...More

This is a lovely way to remember what happened and feel the power and strength of standing up for what you believe in and for what is right!

The one tree hill has a spectacular view of auckland city and the park and area is nicer than at mount eden. But it is quite far out, a 2 hour walk from downtown auckland.

Walked from hotel. 9 km return. Great park and the 360 views is great on a clear day.Busy park with all the walkers going up the hill.

Great view from the monument, nice history. Walk through the parkland below to soak up the scenery and say hello to the sheep

Great 360 views, even though the hill is not that high. There are parking spaces at the top of the hill. By foot it is a nice walk.

You drive in through manicured grounds, filled with SHEEP, and joggers many of whom seem to be pushing baby strollers - both up hill and down. There are several volcanic craters on site, as well as some patches of beautiful garden, then there is the...More

Yes there are suburban bus routes from the city that pass by , but no specific return buses . Depending on which side you start the walk will vary from 10- 15! Mins without photo stops :)
can you drive to the top?
