Landmark building and a huge space. Worth a visit and it's quite peaceful. A little difficult to find parking at busy times.

I am not sure why there is a church next to the cathedral but is is a beautiful old style building. Lovely old wooden beams make this a must see. Easy if you are looking at teh cathedral.

The old church is completely made of native timbers, glowing kauri throughout, and is utterly beautiful. The windows are generally good, well-coloured,...More
