Well worth a look if you like roses...a lovely walk amongst the flowers. There is also a free festival in November each year.

We visited this garden early October since it was just in front of our hotel. Most of the flower plants were not in bloom, but the ones that were in bloom were quite amazing. The roses were huge and were of different colors. A bud would fully bloom in two days. This is a nice place to stroll in. Benches... More

It's very fresh smelling here. The rose garden is gorgeous although we went in the spring season, so not many of the roses had bloomed yet. Stroll around and take the trails. Go see the water front called Taurarua Judges Bay.

There are a lot of flowers, mainly roses, and it's really well treated. There's a park around that you can go for a walk and have a look at the Orakey Basin

Lovely gardens and walk down to Judges Bay. We stayed at the hotel opposite and this was a great find.

Lovely old gardens. Very well looked after. Lovely tea rooms. Roses had just been pruned but plenty to see here. Lovely cafe across the road. Plenty of easy parking.

Lovely place with or without the roses in bloom. Sweeping views over the port, city and harbour. Wonderful to have a large green space so close to the city.

Nice clean grounds with toilet facilities and good parking. You can follow the paths down to the water also. Accessible by pram or wheelchair. Recommend you visit in Spring/Summer when the roses bloom as the rose part is quite bare in Winter.
