Went on the walking tour which lasted just over 2 hours. Got a film show before and afterwards as well. Very interesting and informative. Gives you a great insight into the earthquake and the rebuilding of the city as well as sympathetic modern development. Not cheap but well worth the money.

A lovely way to discover Napier. The walk is flat and easy and appeals to all age groups. The guides are well informed and approachable with a fair amount of NZ humour included! Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Thankyou.

Did a guided walking tour round the city arranged via the Art Deco Trust. Loved this tour! Well worth the money. The amount of information given by an incredibly knowledgeable tour guide was staggering. This is a 'must do' when in Napier. Very reasonably priced.

We took the 2 hour afternoon walking tour of Napier led by our guide Sue. It was excellent and good value for money. The tour opened our eyes to the architecture in Napier and the various styles. It brought to life the reconstruction of Napier in 1932. Our guide Sue was very knowledgable and at the end we had a... More

I didn't do the walking tour - I did the Hooters vintage car tour of the town instead as I was ill and couldn't walk much But I did drop into the store to have a look at what was on sale and while some of it is just the usual vintage art deco knock-off memorabilia, the quality seemed to... More

We did the art decor tour via the trust and found our guide informative, approachable and friendly. She took the time to answer questions and had a great knowledge of the history of Napier. The movie and refreshments at the end of the tour were a great finishing touch

This was an unexpected delight. The Art Deco history of Napier - post earthquake - is interesting. Take the one hour tour. And hope you get Shona! A gentlemen should never guess a lady's age but it would not be inappropriate to suggest she has the benefit of considerable years of experience. She was informative and passionate about her town... The Art Deco Trust and Centre are really tremendous assets to keep the Art Deco spirit alive in Napier. The town is rated as the second most important site for Art Deco buildings in the world. The trust runs tours as well as a shop where you can watch a movie presentation. Well worth a visit. It’s in the main... More
