I recently bought sheepskins at Classic Sheepskins in Napier as they were cheaper than buying them in Auckland (I make sheepskins slippers). The first time we called in, the two ladies were very helpful and bagged up my purchases. Two days later, I decided to...More

They have done several skins for me and I've always been impressed with the result. I would highly recommend them to any hunter who is keen on keeping the memory of the hunt after the freezer is long empty. Great work done for a fair...More

They provide a free tour at 11am and 2pm each day to anyone of their back of the factory to explain the process how their sheepskin made even though it was just a very short tour (within 10mins). They gave us a little off-cut sheepskin...More

Before you go, check that the factory is actually working on the day you choose to go. We went on a Saturday, but there was no-one actually working there, which rather missed the point. I have been taking overseas visitors there for 30 years now...More

Wanted slippers made in NZ, not those sold in tourist stores made who knows where. They have a great variety, and the staff was very helpful. Love buying from a small locally-owned business. Highly recommend.

We were on tour. The sheepskin tannery was a part of it. It was interesting to see how sheepskins are prepared but walking through the factory may not be for everyone as there are some places with odors that could be objectionable. It wasn't terrible...More

What sets this apart from all the other sheepskin outlets you see everywhere is that they have scheduled tours of the tannery which is very fascinating! They also have a wide range of other animal skins including goat, buffalo, cow, deer, rabbit etc. The staff...More
