Thanks for helping to make our Xmas Tour a great success. Little did we know there was sooooo.... much to see, being able to be hands on was great. Great trip down memory lane with enthusiastic volunteers. Could imagine children would love being able to try everything out without being told 'don't touch'. Keep up the good work.

Great place to visit - very hands on for all ages. My kids really enjoyed the different things to see and try, as did I. A highlight was the tesla coil. Don't miss the UV light room - we almost didn't see it, but kids had a good giggle at their teeth lighting up very white under the uv lights!... More

Great museum with loads of practical hands on exhibits ranging from a tesla machine to old phones to morse transmitters to arcade games. Very knowledgeable staff and so many great things. Mostly based on electricity but water pumps of all sorts and stationary engines. We were there for two hours and all 8 of us ranging from 4 to 50yrs... More

This is an incredibly hands on museum. There is eclectic mix of exhibits - everything from restored engines, old kitchen appliances, working pinball machines, exhibits demonstrating electromagnetism and pianola among much more. All the volunteers were knowledgeable and happy to show us around and explain how things had worked. This museum is definitely worth a visit - particularly good for... More

This appears to be a small museum until you step inside. So much information presented in an infomative and hands on way. Excellant for all ages.

It is like walking into the Tardis.....looks small from the outside but has so much to offer and look at. Great if you enjoy technical, engineering, historical type equipment. Great friendly volunteers run the place.

Recommended by our evil step mother, this place redeemed her! Right from the entrance the museum encourages you to touch, play climb and make as much noise as you want!! Arriving early we had the place to ourselves, the kids went wild, Miss 11 played with everything, the electricity, windmills, pinball machines, motorbike, water pumps, shoe shine machine, you name... I really enjoyed visiting the Faraday centre. The entry fee is very reasonable. There are lots of cool old things to look at and there is lots of history.
