Beautiful grounds, emaculately kept. Every Kiwi should visit at least once in their lives. Despite the controversies and history, this place is a crucial part of NZ history. Well worth the visit. It was special.

It’s like a 30 min walk from the pier. There’s no bus or taxi in Paihia, but maybe your hotel can offer you a lift. You can also check if Waitangui treaty Grounds offer this service.
