About
Paradise Valley Springs is open every day of the year, including all public holidays, from 8.00am until dark with last ticket sales at 5.00pm. Lion Feeding is every day at 2.30pm and our Kea and Possum Feeding happens every day at 3.00pm. The park is set in a beautiful native bush covered setting, and has excellent wide walkways throughout that are well suited for strollers and wheelchairs. We have bags of Trout or Animal Food available for $2 per bag if they would like to hand-feed some of the animals, or throw food to the trout. Your time in Paradise will include getting up close and personal with our New Zealand Birds, Trout and Wildlife. We also have our Rainforest Treetops Walkway hidden six metres high amongst mature native trees and bush. You will also be able to view our Lion Pride in their enclosure at any time of the day.

A great day visiting the grand children loved feeding the animals and the fish. The whole experience and the paths where perfect for walking on. The highlight for the kids was patting the lion cubs. A great day out and lots of memories made.

Did not expect much but enjoyed it immensely got to pat the lion cubs awe struck. The ladies were knowledgeable and chatted with everyone there. Loved the walk through the forest and listening to bird calls via a speaker manually. Trout and eels to llamas and angora goats, sheep etc.. Buy lil bags of food too. Amazing hidden gem. A must see

A great place to experience a range of animals up close and personal. Lion feeding was a real treat. Seeing the lions up close was better than on safari as you could see the whites of their eyes and hear their growls and roar. Very well kept park. Excellent for young children too.

What a delightful spot to visit, natural beauty and kept spotless, the animals are amazing, they look healthy and happy!
We had the honour of patting two lion cubs and viewing the adult lions while they basked in the sun.
Definitely value for money, especially with the all day pass so we could return in the afternoon to see the lions get fed.
Well worth a visit for some peace in nature and to pet some friendly critters.
We'll be back for another visit for sure!

This is a well presented nature park. It is clean and well looked after, the beautiful surroundings are showcased and we found it very relaxing to walk around. There is plenty of wildlife and we enjoyed feeding the trout, ducks and deer. The main reason for coming to the park was to see the lion cubs which we experienced up close and personal, just amazing.

Went with my partner & parents, we all had a nice relaxing day - soon as we turned up they had the lion cubs out & without wait we were able to socialise with them - that was amazing! Then we spent half a day walking through the gorgeous area hand feeding all the animals. We are animal lovers so that was a great highlight for us. We ended our trip with the lion feeding & that was amazing to see them up close & personal. It wasn’t to busy so it was perfect when we were looking for a relaxing day activity😁

Must go !!! You have to go visit this park for sure, it is so well laid out and we had an awesome experience with the lion cubs, we played and patted the Cubs at no extra cost and they were so well trained and cute!! The staff was so friendly and let us spend time and took pictures of us with the cubs!! We came from Auckland and this was 10/10 worth the trip, we will keep visiting the cubs to watch them grow for sure !! Please do visit , you will love it !

A great afternoon spent in this well maintained and staffed sanctuary. The exhibits were clean and naturalized, and the staff are clearly dedicated to the lions in their exhibit. There is no perfect enclosure, but the lions were active, playful, and in great body condition. We are not “zoo” advocates and this is clearly not a zoo. A great day for two animal lovers.

beautifully kept park and clean. All animals looked to be well cared for and fed. Visitor feeding was optional but made for great interaction. Close to the city but far enough out to be quiet and seem further away from city noise. Tracks were well maintained and walking around the park was easy, we were able to take our own time to look around. Friendly staff.

This was a wonderful experience in Rotorua. The staff are really lovely and the animals happy and healthy. The homage to nature is to be respected and the friendly lwildlife escort you on the board walks... especially if the think they will be rewarded with food. Highly recommend
