Polynesian Spa is New Zealand’s leading international day spa. In a picturesque, tranquil setting overlooking Lake Rotorua, visitors can enjoy a wonderful fusion of relaxing hot spring pool bathing, sumptuous spa and massage therapies and picturesque lake views. Polynesian Spa has the use of two types of hot mineral water, one alkaline and one acidic, that are the unique point of difference of the operation. Many thousands of visitors to the spa have attested to the remedial effect the hot mineral waters have on such ailments as muscular complaints, arthritis and rheumatism. The Priest and Radium springs are most noted in this respect. We invite you to experience this World Top Ten Spa (natural/thermal/medical), as voted by readers of the prestigious Conde Nast Traveller magazine for several years and once again in 2011. We look forward to welcoming you to Polynesian Spa.

I would highly recommend this place for any hikers ( such as us) or families. This is a place you would forget pain of hiking and sore muscles or hardship of life. Reasonably priced. Would do it again any time.

Been from the Bop I am highly sceptical of paying for these as I've been bought up with all the free ones around. My partner rekon just be spoilt and relax. It was absolutely Devine. We had a private spa overlooking the geyser lake it was beautiful especially when the rain started to drizzle. For a few minutes we were... More

Our visit to the Polynesian spa was to use the family part of the spa. The family area consists of a big warm (could do with being just a bit warmer) pool and two hot soaking pools. The hot pools over look the bigger pool so it was great to relax in the hot pools while being able to keep... More

I would highly recommend to visit during the 'off hours'...what started off as an enjoyable and relaxing/ healing visit to the pools eventually became an overcrowded and loud experience...fortunately, this happened as we were about to end our visit anyways but it helped us make a quick exit.

The spa has many pools of varying temperatures and mineral content, and a view over the Rotorua lake that make the place an oasis of relaxation. You can choose between the reasonably priced general pool access and more expensive options of private pools. Either is worth for a few hour relaxation. The lakeside is also home to a seagull colony.... More

Outside bathing pools were lovely and varied in temperatures. Massages/treatments were devine and relaxing. Bathrooms had great showers and towels galore for guest use. No shortage of hot water either!

This attraction can be a budget experience or something a little more expensive if you choose. My partner and I chose to go to a private spa for a well earned soak in the mineral pools after a previous days mountain bike riding. The staff gave you all the privacy you needed, explained fully what was in the water and... More
