It's larger in real life than you may expect, plus it's located on the walkway along the ocean front so great views. Standing under it may make you dizzy when looking up so be sure to hold on to someone attractive nearby! Please note, not...More

This is an interesting landmark that really stands out & can be seen. It shows what the wind is like & which way it is blowing and it a great spot to walk towards & often random activities taking place around the windward or nearby

Located on the coastal walkway. A nice feature to get a photo of. Parking right nearby at $1 hour. If you walk towards the port there is another interesting sculpture

A place to walk to on the Coastal Walkway. Lots of seats to sit and watch the sea and the wand. Good in windy weather

A significant landmark with functional value. Every city needs a unique landmark and this is it. It could do with more explanation.

Visible from a long way off, this wand attracts your attention and reading about how and why it's there is even better.

Worth walking up to and watching it move. Walk there by going along under road bridge. I was there on a showery day not cold but quite windy with sea rough.

We walked from the Whalebone bridge along the coastal walk to the Wind Wand, had lunch, then back. Nice way to fill half a day. Fresh air, exercise and nice views.

This is located on the Coastal Walkway in the center of town so you will see it. Interesting idea and worth a look.
