We have been taking our daughters to walk here since they were three. the loop walk is pretty - we go looking for fairies and listening out for the waterfall. The entrance is a great place for a picnic and bb1

This is a lovely place to go for a walk just outside the New Plymouth city limits. There are picnic tables at the entrance near the carpark, but unfortunately they do not allow dogs, even on a leash.

Taranaki has excellent conditions for growing. Volcanic soil, lots of rain and lots of sun. Walk in this beautiful piece of Taranaki bushland almost on the edge of town. There are several different aspects of the forest and a stream or two running through the...More

An amazing walk in the bush among the Nikau Palms with plenty of signs to explain the trees. The paths are easy walking - a few steeper parts but a great walk.

An easy walk which is not far from the city centre. The name of the reserve is intriguing and the placard at the entry of the reserve is most informative on this
