Great fun at the Prawn Farm. We took the tour, it was very informative, loved hand feeding the little ones. Fishing was a game of patients and hide and seek. Lots of interactive stuff to do with the kids around the park.

We visited the Huka Prawn Park in Feb, after visiting 2 years ago. The tour is interesting and little prawns can nibble at your hands while you feed them. The prawn fishing is the fun bit... however this time we only caught one 😢. You fish with a bamboo rod and fishing line & hook. Super hard to snag a... More

28$ for unlimited usage of the park is great deal - the prawn fishing is special experience, we managed to get some; the boat, the paddle board; the trout feeding. But the restaurant provides really not good food...so limited options...and taste is under average.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch, naturally we chose prawns, and got to watch some of the thrills of the jet boat ride at the same time. Staff are efficient and food was delicious and arrived quickly.

Seems to get pricer every time we visit! It is fun though, and with practice I am getting better at catching the prawns.

Golf in New Zealand is definitely a very popular sport in all its varieties, but I have to admit that the killer prawn golf exceeded my expectations! Rent a golf club and throw at the floating rings to win interestig cash prizes. We had a go hoping to earn some money for an extra week in New Zealand, but we... More

Hi there, Thanks for visiting Huka Prawn Park and trying our Killer Prawn Golf Challenge. Unfortunately, our fantastic Killer Prawn Golf Challenge is no longer available due to increased demand for fishing meaning that we’ve had to change the golf ponds to fishing ponds. Don’t worry too much about the prawns, our golf balls float and the ponds are 1.5m... More

Truly unique and great fun for all the family. After a quick tour to explain the prawn production process you are let lose with prawn fishing rods to see how many you can catch. We mastered the technique and caught eight which were then put in ice ready to be cooked for us in the cafe. A large, excellent cafe... More
