We’d decided we’d like to take a trip out onto the lake to see the Maori carvings and spotted this particular tour. It was a few dollars more expensive than the next one but in a great boat and offering a slightly shorter cruise, which...More

Simon Jolly was our guide/Captain. ASK for him specifically - he is good. We had a private boat (four of us) and we had lunch out on the boat! Then, we fished. And, it paid off! Our daughter caught her first fish - a huge...More

Such a wonderful experience. Staff were awesome, very knowledgeable and friendly. Pirate Pete (skipper) showed me how the ducks would eat the bread out of my mouth (a must try out on the boat). Recommend to anybody.

Thank-you for joining us on a cruise to the carvings, we agree it is still a really enjoyable activity in any weather and catching trout is a wonderful bonus on the 1.30pm sailings.

Lovely little spur of the moment tour around northern part of Lake Taupo. The crew took good care of us and took us out to the Maori rock carvings via some of the other sights with some great commentary. Good value for money.
