This is a beautiful hidden gem, only 10 min walk to bottom (however it takes at least 30 mins as so beautiful. Several waterfalls along the track and a wonderful view of Mt Maunganui from the top. Is a steep climb back up path for those with injuries.

These falls are about 15 minutes from Tauranga and are spectacular after a good downpour of rain. Easy quick walk and lovely swimming hole! Just a word of warning - don't leave valuables in your car as there are a few opportunists hanging about who will relieve you of your valuables while on your walk!!! Sign posted from Welcome Bay... A very easy walk to get to the falls, it had been raining so the falls were in full flow. The tracks were easy to follow but slippery in some areas so good walking boots or sneakers are a must. Unfortunately it was too cold to swim but would be amazing on a hot summers day. Very pretty scenery and... More

This is a lovely spot to visit. It is about a 30 minute drive from Tauranga and is signposted from Welcome Bay. The falls are a highlight of this forest scenic reserve. There are various walking tracks to choose. The water tumbles down a ravine is a series of cascades and there is a swimming hole at the bottom. This... More

I visited the falls this morning. It was grey and overcast but still enjoyable and better for getting photographs. Need to be careful of the slippery steps and rocks when wet.

Each waterfall just keeps getting better and better, unfortunately it is not recommended to go swimming.

Bit hard to get to. Both ourselves and some other travellers we ran into had a bit of trouble finding it. Was a nice walk. Only about half an hour and made for a couple of good photos. According to the sign, you can't swim there though.

Good close to town waterfalls. Do the complete loop hike (20 minutes) as the lower falls are nice and in a tropical setting. Walkways could be maintained a bit better, but fine for typical fitness levels.
