A must visit whenever I'm down in Welly. Not a huge zoo but you do work a sweat. Love the walks & being surrounded by various flora & fauna. Very clean & well maintained by the staff. Enjoyed seeing the lions & tigers!

Smaller than some international zoos, but a pleasant walk and some interesting exhibits. Suggest you see lions, giraffes chimpanzees and wallabies.

No, Wellington Zoo doesn't have hedgehogs on display. Hedgehogs can be seen from time to time around our house in Dunedin.
