Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We felt privileged to be shown around Wellington by Peter. His in-depth knowledge of the history of the city, combined with anecdotes about the city’s famous characters, made for the most interesting and entertaining tour. We’ve done walking tours in Sydney and Melbourne recently yet this was by far the most enjoyable. Many thanks Peter! Karen and Mark

I'd just arrived in Wellington to start a 1-year working holiday and decided to take this tour a few days in, to get a feel for the city. I ended up being the only person on the tour and got to spend a wonderful morning with Kit, who was an excellent guide! She told me so many great stories about the city and left me with a ton of recommendations on places to check out while I'm here for the next few months. Definitely recommend this tour as an introduction to Wellington, do it on your first day if you can!

I experienced the Walk Wellington tour with an experienced guide.
It started off a little rainy but we trudged on and before long the sun was beaming and we walked to all the major sites in Wellington. This was a great introduction to the capital city and all its major locations, their history and stories. The walk puts into context areas easy to overlook without an experienced guide. It is a relaxing and enjoyable way to introduce yourself to the city. Highly recommended!

Insightful and informative tour! The weather was not so great (windy & rainy) but our guide Darrell did his best to show us the highlights of this amazing city!

Great walk Wellington tour 5/12/23.
Many thanks to Ngaire, our guide.
Very small group early 20s to mid 60s. We were all well catered for with lots of impromptu extras, particularly in the Supreme High Court. Very knowledgeable about the history of the city and its buildings. If she wasn’t sure of the answer to our many questions Ngaire always knew who to ask for greater information.
Brilliant value for money. A 2 hour trip which turned into 3.

We were with a small group of 5 and our guide, Darrell.
He told so many interesting stories and little facts about Wellington.
We loved it !
It took 3 hours and there were still stories not told.
Would highly recommand as a starter here in Wellington.

Great informative tour.
This is a great value tour to spend a couple of hours learning about Wellington and its history. Our guide Joyce was so knowledgeable and showed us parts of the city we would never have found on our own. She is a real ambassador for the city and New Zealand.

Lovely walk in nature reserve. Start
/end of walk is accessible by public bus. Good daytime outing for cruise passengers who are mobile to cope with a walk on uneven ground.
