Take a walk - Every day at 10.00am, Walk Wellington gives you an excellent introduction into this exuberant, walkable city and its people. Our guides have a deep knowledge and love of Wellington and enjoy helping to make your visit an absolutely positively fantastic experience. Walks take two to two and a half hours. We walk every day except Christmas Day and Good Friday, rain or shine, so it's best to dress to suit the weather. During the summer (December through March) take advantage of Wellington's long days with an evening walk on Monday, Wednesday or Friday at 5.00pm. Walk Wellington tours leave from the i-SITE Visitor Centre 111 Wakefield St at Cuba St, adjacent to Civic Square. Look for the guide in the bright, green vest! Our stand is just inside the doors on the left.

Guide John M was kind, knowledgeable and fun. The tour was very educational, yet he made it incredibly enjoyable, we learned about Wellington in many ways. We've done walking tours in many cities, by far this was the best!

Peter was our guide. He was informative and knowledgeable on Wellington. Highlights were seeing the treaty at the library and the old St Paul's Cathedral. The walk was easygoing and took in the beautiful buildings around the waterfront and city centre.

This walk very comprehensively covered Wellington's waterfront buildings, the older buildings in the city through to the parliament. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about his topic spending far longer than the advertised 2 to 2.5 hours showing us around. A highlight was the...More
