Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were with a small group of 5 and our guide, Darrell.
He told so many interesting stories and little facts about Wellington.
We loved it !
It took 3 hours and there were still stories not told.
Would highly recommand as a starter here in Wellington.

Great informative tour.
This is a great value tour to spend a couple of hours learning about Wellington and its history. Our guide Joyce was so knowledgeable and showed us parts of the city we would never have found on our own. She is a real ambassador for the city and New Zealand.

Lovely walk in nature reserve. Start
/end of walk is accessible by public bus. Good daytime outing for cruise passengers who are mobile to cope with a walk on uneven ground.

We showed up at 10 without a prior reservation and were treated to a personal tour with our tour guide Bev. She led us on a terrific walk through sites and places we would have never visited on our own - places like the Supreme Court, the old Government building, and the old Bank of New Zealand building. She took us to the more well known sites as well (Queens Wharf, Parliament, and the Cathedral of St Paul - but the lesser known sites were the real gems of the tour! The tour was a splendid mix of history and conversation!

Myself and my friend did a walking tour with Peter as our guide. He was very kind and knowledgeable and we learned so much about Wellington, particularly the sculptures, art, and architecture of the city. I would thoroughly recommend it and am very grateful to Peter for such an enjoyable morning!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with Suzanne. I particularly enjoyed the public art and the architecture of Wellington. Suzanne gave us valuable information at each place of interest. It was a great way to orient ourselves and gave an overview of what we might like to see next. Really appreciate that the guides are volunteers, and the takings go towards maintaining Wellington's buildings.
