Nothing like native bush and a stream for total relaxing on a sunny day ..... so Dec to April is good Plenty of easy to park spots, many hidden away from prying eyes The bush is truly beautiful and reminds us what all the area...More

Good for day walks, mountain biking, motorcross and 4x4ing. It can become quite busy. There are lots of ways to get into the forest - from official signposted entryways too random entrances. Just be sure not to get lost :) It is a photogenic forest,...More

Once you get a little deeper into the forest, you'll discover delights that aren't evident in your initial foray. The Maungakotukutuku Entrance has some fabulous walks with great views over Kapiti. Do look out for the motorcross bikes on Perhams Road
