One of favourite hikes in NZ. Such beautiful views around. Level medium. Pass through the forest or mountainside. Enjoy all the best smells of nature and forest. Such a magical place. Take a picnic for the creek and indulge being amongst the superb nature. Definitely...More

A gorgeous walk down to Butterfly Creek, it's a bit of a climb to the ridge but rewarded by a stunning view and followed by cool bush walk. Very peaceful, facilties available such as picnic tables and toilets.

This is such a nice walk to do in the summer. It takes a while to get to the creek, but it's a beautiful journey through the forest. At the creek there are picnic tables for sitting and lovely shade. The walk back rewards one...More
