Fantastic exhibition of John Walsh paintings. What an incredibly talented man. I found his work awe inspiring, and the fact that he was such a talented painter at such a young age.

This gallery in the wharf area is small but has a number of fascinating portraits. It gives some idea of the history of the early people in the area.

We didn't know what to expect but found it to be an interesting 30 minuet distraction as we wandered around the water front. And it was free!

Came across the gallery while walking around the wharf and harbour areas. Entry is free but the paintings were well spread out in the single storey building and to be honest we were not impressed with many of them. Spent about 20 minutes looking round.

.....if you are interested in modern art. The Gallery is predominately populated with entries for the Nation’s portrait prize. There are some interesting pieces amongst the entrants. Entry is free. The space inside is barn like. Part of a nice stroll along the waterfront.
